SOUTH BEND - Josephine H. Kuharic, 89, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, in her home with her loving family by her side. Josephine was born on Oct. 10, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Joseph and Mary Prisaznik. On Nov. 29, 1947, in South Bend, she married Joseph M. Kuharic Sr. He passed away on July 19, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rose Cunningham, on July 11, 2015. Josephine is survived by her children, Christine, Joseph Jr. (Barbara) and John Kuharic, all of South Bend; grandchildren, Stacey (Josh) Cline of Granger and Joseph Kuharic III of South Bend; four great-grandchildren, Josh Jr., Alexis, Mariah and Macie; her niece, Linda (William) Bardeen, and their children, Jonathon, Kristin and David; and several other nieces and nephews. Josephine devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. In her later years she enjoyed computer games, especially World of Warcraft and Caesar II. She often said that she lived for the battles. She loved her cats, Itsy Bits and Mixie. There will be no visitation or services. Her wishes were to be cremated.
