Clementine Slos
Sept. 4, 1913 - May 4, 2008

BREMEN, IN. -- Clementine ("Clemy" or "Tina") Slos, 94, passed away at 8:00 PM Sunday, May 4, 2008, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka, IN. She was born in Mishawaka to August and Marie DeMaertelaere. She married Remi Slos and they had five children, Rose Hurlbut, Mishawaka, Marlene (Fred Matricardi) Walker, Phoenix, AZ, Betty (Al) Bonne, Niles, JoAnn Burns, Columbia City, and David (Janeen) Slos of Bremen; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, one grandson and one granddaughter. Mrs. Slos was a wonderful cook and taught her secrets to her daughters and granddaughters. She spent many holidays cooking for family gatherings in her large kitchen on the farm in Mishawaka, IN. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Bremen, IN. The family thanks all of the wonderful staff for her excellent care at the Golden Living Center and the Southern Care Hospice staff. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Polycarp Fernando will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.
It is her request to be cremated after services, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care, Inc., National City Bank Bldg., 310 West McKinley, Suite 340, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Mom: may you fly on the wings of the angels as they carry you home to a place free from suffering, where you will be resting in peace with the Lord!
