NILES, MI - Diana Marie Gildea-Sharpe, 68, of Niles, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018. Diana was born May 27, 1950 in South Bend to the late Lillian (Robichaud) and Frances Gildea. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gildea, and sister, Frances Gildea-Babinski. On May 4, 1974 in South Bend, Diana married Ralph Sharpe who survives, along with their children Jenny Sharpe-Watkins (Bruce) of Elkhart and Jeremy Sharpe (McKenzie) of Niles; grandchildren, Adam, Preston, Cody, Mason, Tatum, Wyatt, Weston, Aiden, and Peyton; siblings, Cleta Gildea of Elkhart, Donna Gildea-Redding of Granger, and Edward Gildea. Diana had worked in the advertising department at the South Bend Tribune from 1969 to 1979. She was a devoted mother, caring wife, family caregiver, attentive entertainer, card sending enthusiast, homemaker, amateur photographer, videographer, and decorator. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kelly Cares, 1251 N.
