Steven G. “Stubby” Nyikos, 59, passed away in his home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Steven was born in South Bend, IN to Richard (Melodie) Nyikos and Gloria (Whitmer) Nyikos. He is survived by his parents; children, Jeff (Stacie) Nyikos and Stevie (Bekah) Nyikos; grandchildren, who affectionally called him “Grumps,” Kayla, McKenna, Myah, Oliver, Kason and Lettie Nyikos; sister, Debbie (Pete) McCollester; nephew, Dr. Jonathon McCollester; and niece, Jessica; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Richie Nyikos. Steve enjoyed fishing, fires, having few cold ones, and being the life of the party. His kindness and comedy were matched only by his love for his family, friends, and beloved dog, “Mr. Banks.” A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
