Raye B. Spagnolo, 80, died Dec. 23, 2003. She was born March 26, 1923, in Moultrie, Ga., and had been residing in Brandon, Fla., with family since 1987. She was interred at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Ind. Raye and her husband, Nick, owned and operated the Avenue Fruit Market in River Park for 40 years where they raised three children. Raye was preceded in death by her husband and her only son, Nicholas Spagnolo Jr. Raye is survived by her two daughters, Johnnie Sue Knoll of Riverview, Fla. and Judy Shoemake of Las Vegas, Nev. Mrs. Spagnolo had five grandchildren, Kim Hamilton, Richard Smith and Melissa Rivers all of Brandon, Fla., Brandon Shoemake of Las Vegas, and Nicholas Spagnolo III of South Bend. Raye also had three great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
