Cybulskis , Vitolds
1/4/1934 - 3/15/2019

Grand Rapids - Vitolds was born in Nautreni, Latvija. He fled Latvija in 1944, and spent several years in displaced persons camps in Germany, primarily Ansbach. He emigrated to the US in 1949 aboard the USS General Hershey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Viktors and Izabella, his sister Anna, and his son Viktor. He worked as a sharecropper on a tobacco farm in Dundas, Virginia before moving to Grand Rapids in 1951, when he was immediately employed upon arrival. He worked a variety of factory jobs, but his favorite was driving a truck. He sacrificed his education to support his family. He served in the US Army on a tour of duty in West Germany in the early 1950s. He married the love of his life, Chesa, in 1959. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Aglona Latvian Catholic Church. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Chesa, son Eddie and wife Robyn, daughter Lita, grandchildren Roger, Dallan, and Jason, great grandchildren Brianna and Zach, siblings Theresa Vavere, Peter, Aggie Vardos, Mary Telgenhof, John, and George, and many nieces and nephews. A rosary will be said on Tuesday at 10 am followed by mass at 11 am at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
