BETTY L. DYCUS
Oct. 14, 1924 - Nov. 26, 2008

MISHAWAKA - Betty L. Dycus, 84, of Mishawaka passed away on Wednesday
November 26th in the Golden Living Center in Mishawaka. Betty was born on October
14, 1924 in Mishawaka to the late Lewis and Dorothy (Stuff) Picking. On December 12, 1947 she married Gentry C. Dycus in Mishawaka. During WWII she worked the Victory shift at Ball Band. She continued to work at Ball Band for eleven years following the war. Her last job she worked for Ferman Meat and Catering Company, where she worked for ten years. Betty was a three time president of the ladies Auxillary American Legion post 161, and a member of the 8/40 society. Betty is survived by her husband, Gentry Dycus of Mishawaka, her son, Jim (Kerri) Dycus, of Mishawaka, three grandsons, John, Jason, and Joshua, along with three great grandchildren. Her brother Jack Picking preceded Betty in death. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday,
November 30th from 3 until 7 pm and one hour prior to the service, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St.. Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 1st in the funeral chapel, with Lay Pastor Dan Scarberry officiating . Burial is to follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or to Southern Care Hospice.
