[N33278] Lanniel Stefaniak
10/10/1953 - 10/2/2022

Lanniel Stefaniak, 68, died peacefully of natural causes at Healthwin Specialized Care on Sunday. Lanniel was born in South Bend to the late Helen (Klimek) and Theodore Stefaniak. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Gary Stefaniak. Lanniel married Beth Tharp on December 8, 1979 and they had three children. Though they divorced in 1989, Lanny and Beth remained lifelong friends and wonderful co-parents. Left to cherish the memory of Lanny are his children, Britney (Mary) Stefaniak, Matthew (Heather) Stefaniak, Sarah (Adam) Thompson; grandchildren Nikolas, Koby, Lukas, Evan, Jillian, Colin, Benjamin, Gavin, and Caleb; and a sister, Sally Marlephansakul.Lanny graduated from Riley High School in 1972 and had a successful career in manufacturing at Torrington, AT&T, and retired from I/N Tek and I/N Kote where he proudly served as a Team Representative for USW Local 9231. In 2009, Lanny suffered a horrible accident, but somehow his physical limitations never changed him. He remained the same loyal, courageous person with a wonderful sense of humor. Lanny touched the lives of many people. His former co-workers often asked about him and visited him after his accident. The staff at Healthwin grieved his loss alongside his family members. Visitation for Lanny will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2022 in St. Joseph Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation at 636 Morris Turnpike Suite 3A Short Hills, NJ 07078. Condolences for the family may be made www.sjfh.net
