Sent to Camp Johnston, Fla.; assigned to Miscellaneous Trade Unit No. 2, Quartermaster Corps. Sailed for overseas in September, 1918. Contracted pneumonia while on board transport, and died October 10, 1918. Buried at sea with full military honors.
