Lynn Alan Nemeth, 86, died Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Center for Hospice in Mishawaka after a short illness. He was born July 3, 1934 in South Bend to the late Peter and Ruby (Beehler) Nemeth. On February 16, 1957 in South Bend, Lynn married the love of his life, Wanda Joy McCoy, who survives. Lynn was a lifelong resident of South Bend and graduated from Washington-Clay High School in 1952. Upon graduation, he began working for Indiana Bell Telephone Company, now AT&T. He worked there for more than 40 years before retiring. Lynn also volunteered for the Telephone Pioneers of America. Lynn proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserves. For a time, he drove stock cars and continued his enjoyment of automobile racing by following the NASCAR circuit and the success of South Bend native Ryan Newman. He was an avid golfer and a devoted fan of the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago Bears, and Notre Dame football. Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; and son, Neil Nemeth of Munster. There will be no services at this time. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery at a later date. Palmer Funeral Homes-Welsheimer Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting family with arrangements.
