SOUTH BEND - Rose H. Szymanski (nee Andrysiak), 96, of Lowell, formerly of South Bend, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011. She is survived by daughter, Mary Lou (Mike) Shuttrow, Lowell; son, James Szymanski, Canyon Lake, CA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, and brothers, Dennis and Cajetan Andrysiak. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 22, at 1:00 pm at the St. Casimir Parrish in South Bend, with Thomas Lemos, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Friends are invited to call at church from 11:00 until service time. Rose was a former member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and American Legion Post #357 Ladies Auxiliary, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lowell Health Care Center, Lowell, IN.
