Steve Mull
December 7, 1960 - April 24, 2013
Steve Mull, 52, Duneland Beach, Indiana, passed away surrounded by siblings and cousins on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 4:20 p.m. in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City, after suffering a stroke. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 in the chapel at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1005 Moore Road, Michigan City, IN. A reception at the family home, 3526 Iroquois Trail, Michigan City, IN will follow the service.
He was born December 7, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana to John C. and Joan C. (Kaniewski) Mull, who lived in Duneland Beach since 1968 and who survive in Sun City, Arizona. Also surviving is sister Mindy Mull of Oakland, California; brother David (Kathy Terpstra) Mull of Paw Paw, Michigan; three nieces, Zoe Bostick and Eve Bostick, of California and Liz Randall of Michigan and two nephews, Jake Randall and Jesse Boven of Michigan. His beloved Rottweiler, Charity also survives as do the members of the Al and Georgiana Shinn family of Long Beach, who Steve considered his second family, especially Joe Shinn, his brother from another mother since they met in second grade at Notre Dame Catholic School. Steve graduated from Marquette High School and pursued many interests throughout his life, including photography in New York and Atlanta, electronics sales in Pennsylvania, RV sales in Arizona, personal training, massage therapy and computer sales in California where he hosted a TV cooking show and started one of the first medical data bases; and real estate development in Oregon, where he also bred Bengal cats as well as Rottweilers. Self-taught in construction, he built two homes by himself. He returned to Michigan City and founded Servico Construction Services. Steve enjoyed landscaping and had a penchant for helping people; his final gifts donated to better the lives of burn victims and others. Memorial donations may be made in Steve's name to the charity of the donor's choice
