SOUTH BEND Alice and Eugene Szymczak of South Bend celebrated their 60th anniversary with a blessing at Holy Family Catholic Church and a family dinner. Eugene Szymczak and Alice Szymczyk married July 3, 1948, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. They have four children, Chris Banaszak and Celine Mohoney, both of Granger; James of New Carlisle; and Colleen Lawrence of South Bend. They also have four grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Szymczak, who have lived in South Bend all of their lives, retired from South Bend Community School Corp.
