[N3670] Gluszyna - part of the city of Poznan and estate administration , in the south-eastern edge of the city, near the river Gluszynki .
The earliest mention of the village Gluszyna come from the Chronicles of Jan Dlugosz , who mentions it while describing the invasion of the Teutonic Knights in 1331 at the Wielkopolska . In 1797 the Gluszyna born Paul Edmund Strzelecki , Polish explorer. This event is commemorated by two monuments (obelisk and stone) . The administrative boundaries of Poznan Guszyna was incorporated in 1942. In the years 1954-1990 Gluszyna belonged to the district of New Town . In 1995 a sub unit of the city Housing G?uszyna [1] . Its territory is also a residential complex designed primarily for families airmen stationed at the military airport in Krzesiny . The estate is also a unit of the Volunteer Fire Brigade "TSO Poznan-Gluszyna", which was established 20 September 1948 [2] .
