SOUTH BEND - Mary L. Witucki of South Bend, Indiana died on Saturday, February 20, 2010, in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's, South Bend. Mary was born to Joseph and Catherine (Palmero) Palmero in Elkhart, Indiana. On October 30, 1937, Mary married Earl William Kamp, who died November 6, 1963. On November 18, 1967, she married Leonard Witucki, who died May 24, 1978. She is survived by her son, Richard (Marsha) Witucki of Newport Beach, California; grandchildren, Scott (Gina) Witucki and Jennifer Witucki; a great-grandson, Rocco Witucki; a brother, George Palmero of Elkhart, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Rose Sunday, preceded her in death. Mary was a paralegal with the Los Angeles County Court for over 20 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, a member of Catholic Daughters of California and volunteered at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Mary loved cooking Italian food for family and friends. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Parish, 3616 St. John's Way, South Bend, IN 46628.
