Joseph L. Tomsits, of South Bend, Indiana, peacefully passed away August 31, 2021, at the age of 76. Survived by his loving, wife Christine (Marshall) Tomsits. Loving father to Paul (Kim), Shelly (Glen), and Carmela (Jeff). Proud grandfather and mentor to Matthew (Caitlin), Emilia, Savana, Morgan, Ashton, and Trenton. Brother to Robert and Mildred. Preceded by parents Louis and Dorothy. Joe completed his education at Greene High School in 1963 and entered the work force at Bethlehem Steele and retired after 37 years of service. In 1965 he met his soul mate ‘Forever and Always’ Christine and was a dedicated husband of 55 years. Joe was a quiet and kind spirit who was incredibly proud of his family and cherished his lifelong friendships. Weekly game nights with family and friends were an ongoing tradition. He enjoyed his Euchre Club with his Greene Township classmates and watching Nascar and drag racing. Joe will be fondly remembered as a loving and humble husband, father, and friend and will be greatly missed. Thank you, Joe. You made us feel safe, provided for and most of all loved, leaving your own legacy. A legacy of love.
