SCHERERVILLE - Phyllis Strantz, age 86, of Schererville, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014. She is survived by loving sons: John M. and Jeffrey (Brenda) Strantz; one loving daughter: Deborah Strantz-Theobald; grandchildren: Claire and Kyle Theobald, Samuel Strantz, and Joshua Bollinger; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband: John; loving son: Thomas; and her brother: Leo Nagurny; and sisters: Dorothy Zielinski and Helen Piasechi; and her parents, Felix and Angeline Nagurny. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and watching football. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, December 1, 2014, DIRECTLY at St. Michael's Church, Schererville, IN, with Fr. Martin Dobrzynski officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN, following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local humane society in her loving memory.
