SOUTH BEND - Georgina Garbacz, 97, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Hospice House in South Bend. Georgina was born on July 28, 1920 in Mishawaka as the daughter of the late Paul M. and Ada (Lonbardi) Faini. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Julianna DeWulf. On January 13, 1942 in South Bend, as the former Georgina Faini, she married Michael Garbacz, who preceded her in death on February 9, 2010. Surviving are a daughter, Gail Kroll of South Bend; sons, Michael (Darci) Garbacz of Jupiter, FL and Greg Garbacz of South Bend; grandchildren, Kelly (Evan) Blatt, Stacey (John) Villimizar, and Kristi (Ralph) Concepcion; great-grandchildren, Mila, Laneya, and Arthur; and a brother, Julio Faini. Georgina graduated from Mishawaka High School and spent her life devoted to her family, taking pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22 from 2 to 6 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 23 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
