September 17, 1897 - June 24, 1982

Mrs. Marie Kuzmits, 84, fo 608 W Calvert, died at 4:30am today in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the retired owner of the Kuzmits Grocery Store. She was born September 17, 1897, in Minnihof, Austria, and lived in the South Bend area about 60 years. On July 6, 1921, in Austria, she married Jacob Kuzmits, who died on November 12, 1934. Surviving are tow daughters, Miss Tilly Kuzmits and Mrs. John Jeziorski, both of South Bend; tow sons, Frank of South Bend and Rudy of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren, a great grandchild and a brother, John Ferency of Austria. Services will be at 9am Saturday at Our Lady of Hungary Church, with Rev. Anthony Molnar, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where the Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 7:15pm Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Hungary Home and School Organization.
