SOUTH BEND - Zsuzsanna Presits, 88, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 in her daughter's home in New London, Ohio. Susan was born on June 26, 1925 in Romania to Joseph and Zsuzsanna (Mezzei) Veres. She retired from the University of Notre Dame after serving 25 years in the North Dining Hall. On June 9, 1946 in Sopron, Hungary, as Zsuzsanna Veres she married Paul Presits, Sr. He died on July 22, 2005. Susan was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Presits Jr.; a daughter, Susan Seider; and two sisters, Agnes Gajdo and Elona Pete. Surviving are two daughters, Edith (Lee) Perry of New London, OH and Mary (Tracy) Donahue of Elkhart; a son, Joseph (Lisa) Presits of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren, Ann Marie DeChant, Julie Sullivan, Thomas Nemeth, Christina Collins, Samantha Seider, Serena Ford, Joshua Presits, Erika Presits, Angie DeLaCruz, and Melanie Donahue; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, August 16, 2013 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 4:15 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church or Stein Hospice of Sandusky.
