SOUTH BEND - Dave J. Nowak, 76, of Milwaukee, WI, and formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, in Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Milwaukee, WI. Dave was born Sept. 9, 1940, in South Bend, to Bert & Genevieve (Kaczmarek) Nowak, who preceded him in death. Dave was also preceded in death by his sister, Jacquelyn Nowak. Dave was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, South Bend, attended IUSB and IU Bloomingon. Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Mary Jo Farrell of AZ, Lynn (Matt) Strasser of WI, Anne Nowak of WI, and Andrea Frietag, WI; a sister, Kathy (Donald) Stachowiak of South Bend, and a brother, Greg (Bambi) Nowak of Mishawaka. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews, 3 nieces, 3 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. He also leaves so many wonderful friends who we thank for helping and supporting him during this last year.At this time we would like to thank the staffs of Froederts Oncology Dept., the Lutheran Home and Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Milwaukee for their excellent and gentle care of Dave.Memorial services will be held at a later date in Milwaukee, WI.
