William I Stafford, 76, of 229 S 35th St, died early Sunday in the home of his son, James, of Osceola. He had been ill for the last ten years.Born on March 27, 1889, in Tyner IN, he came to South Bend over 47 years ago from Plymouth.He married Rosa Wagner, who died in 1952.
Surviving are three other sons, William Jr of Osceola, David of South Bend and Robert of Melbourne FL; four daughters, Mrs Minnie Scanlan of Hialeah FL, Mrs Pansy Oswald of Mishawaka and Mrs Zelda Vittorie and Mrs Doris Ladyga, both of South Bend; 20 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a brother, Glen, of South Bend.
