Alex Drajer, 79, of 158 N. Burbank, died at 4:45 a.m. today in Osteopathic Hospital after a one-week illness. He retired in 1964 from the Studebaker Corp., where he had been employed 30 years. He was born on March 29, 1898, in
South Bend and lived here all his life.

On April 22, 1950, he married Cecelia L. Drabecki, who survives, along with six sisters; Mrs. Jean Penn of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Stella Swanson of Vicksburg,
Mich., Mrs. Mary Stanfield of Houston, Mrs. Josephine Mooney of Niles, Mrs. Esther Jeffrey of Kalamazoo, and Mrs. Margie Luke of South Bend; and two brothers, Leonard of South Bend and Zygrerd Dryer of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Casimir's Catholic Church, Rev. Leo C. Wojciechowski C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home.
