Mrs. Anna B. Wartha, 71, of Rockford, Michigan, a former South Bend resident, died Monday morning in Rockford following an extended illness. Born in South Bend Nov. 16, 1899, she was married to Edward B. Wartha, who died in 1958. Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Catherine Beutter, Mrs. Theresa Goefrich , Mrs. Olga Brothers, all of South Bend, Mrs. Betty Mendal, Warsaw, and Mrs. Mary J. Valleau of Alexandria, Va., and a brother Edward Wartha of South Bend.
