SYRACUSE - Mary "Helen" Grisamer, 86, of Syracuse, IN died Friday, June 13th. She was born on September 17, 1927 in South Bend to Ignatz & Jessie (Ward) Bogol. She graduated in 1945 from Central High School in South Bend and on June 13, 1953 she married Richard E. "Dick" Grisamer who preceded her in death. She was formerly employed at Studebaker Corporation in South Bend for several years & Laketronics, Inc. in Syracuse. She was member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 1342 & American Legion Auxiliary Post 223 in Syracuse, IN. She is survived by: 4 daughters, Becky (Stan) Richardson, Paula (Tony) Newman, Randi (Tony) Siri and Linda (Marshall) Minnick all of Syracuse, 9 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty McCormick of North Liberty; and 1 brother, Robert (Carol) Bogol of Mishawaka. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Private family graveside service will take place in the McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse. Memorial bequest may be given to American Legion Auxiliary or V.F.W. Auxiliary.
