DOWAGIAC - Jeffrey A. Plummer Sr., 52, of Dowagiac, began life on July 20, 1954, in Bloomington, IL, the son of Donald and Emily (VanHuss) Plummer. He was a 1973 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School. Jeff was united in marriage to the former Debra Bussing in 1976 in Dowagiac. He was a member of VFW Post #1855. Jeff loved to hunt, fish and shoot pool. He loved to talk and lived up to his nickname, Gabby. His greatest joy was his family which includes his wife, Debra Plummer; sons, Joshua Plummer and Jeffrey Plummer II; one grandchild, Jordan Ludwig; one brother, Danny, and his wife, Jackie Plummer of Mishawaka; four sisters, Jenny and her husband, Dave Splawski of South Bend, Donna Galloway of Cassopolis, Mary and her husband, Kenny Schultz of Dowagiac, and Zora and her husband, Dan Hall of South Bend; and his uncle, Dan, and wife, Lil VanHuss of South Bend. Jeff passed away on Sunday, March 25th, 2007, in Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his parents. His family will gather with friends on Thursday, March 29th, from 4 to 8 p.m. in VFW Post #1855 in Dowagiac where his memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. He will be laid to rest in South Wayne Cemetery at a later date.
