SOUTH BEND - Jerry A. Klemczewski, 85, passed away at 5:50 am, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in his home. Jerry was born April 6, 1930 in South Bend to the late Anthony and Mary Rozek Klemczewski. Jerome was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Klemczewski. Survivors include brother, Robert Klemczewski of New Carlisle, IN, sisters, Betty Makielski of South Bend, IN and Mary Ann (Dale) Loucks of Edwardsburg, MI and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was employed at South Bend Lathe. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy. Jerry was a member of the American Legion 357. He enjoyed fishing and boating and meeting his buddies at the Legions and the Army/Navy Club. A gathering with Jerry's family will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 pm. Military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
