Three brothers, Norris, Kenneth and Richard Fox, and a beloved granddaughter, Michelle Lake, preceded her in death.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 915 North Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46615. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. today at the Palmer Funeral Home - River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, and one hour prior to services at church. Lucille was an active, longtime member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ where she participated in the Women's Fellowship, assisting with its fundraising efforts. She also had been the church treasurer. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, reading, and her wide circle of family and friends. Lucille was an excellent cook and left a legacy of family recipes for her three daughters. She was also an accomplished seamstress and when her daughters were young, would frequently sew three identical outfits for them. Lucille was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and faithfully attended the luncheons of the Mishawaka Alumni Club. She was a member of a bridge club which played together for over forty years. Lucille worked at the former Midwest Producers Creameries before her daughters were born and then returned to work at Valley Lea Dairies where she was an accountant. She was instrumental there in implementing one of their first computer systems. She retired in 1983 from Valley Lea Dairies. She still would meet for lunch with her co-worker friends from her employment years. Lucille had a good sense of humor and a strong sense of family; her children and grand-children were the focus of her life. Her daughters attended Ball State and Indiana University as undergraduates, and received many care packages full of her goodies. As a wife, mother and grandmother, she will be sorely missed. Contributions in memory of Lucille H. Kuszmaul may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ. Online condolences may be sent through www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
