KOONTZ LAKE - Henry J. Kozora passed away peacefully on Saturday August 8, 2020 in his home following an illness. He was born on September 11, 1946 in Chicago to the late Henry J. and Vivian (Johnson) Kozora Sr., and was 73 years-old at the time of his death. Henry lived in the Koontz Lake area for approximately 48 years coming from Chicago. On February 10, 1968 in Chicago he married the love of his life, the late Elaine Degani who also preceded his death earlier this year. He was a retired auto mechanic working at several places including the late Wright Chrysler dealership in South Bend. He is survived by three sons: Glenn (Erika) Kozora of South Bend, Brian (Dawn) Kozora and Christopher (Madoka) Kozora all of Koontz Lake; one daughter Michelle Miller of South Bend; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother Donald. A combined Memorial Service for Henry and Elaine will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice, the Starke County Humane Society, or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
