SOUTH BEND - Josephine J. Remenih, 94, of South Bend, IN, left to be with her husband Victor at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. She lived for the last 15 years at Sanctuary at St. Paul's, South Bend. Josephine was born on April 19, 1919, in LaSalle, IL, to the late Joseph and Josephine (Krultz) Posevina. On Dec. 23, 1939, in Tipton, IA, she was united in marriage to Victor K. Remenih, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Remenih is survived by her daughter, Nancy Remenih of South Bend, IN; three sons, Richard (Lynda Bowes) Remenih of Valrico, FL, Randall (Lynn) Remenih of Brooksville, FL, and Robert (Mary Ann) Remenih of Casa Grande, AZ; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Friske of Reno, NV; and a sister-in-law, Dorothea Link of Delaware, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Marie in 1934, and three brothers, Albert, Ernest and Herman Posevina. Her first job was at Westclox in Peru, IL. She then moved to South Bend, IN, in 1941, coming from LaSalle, IL. Josephine was a housewife for many years before working as a sales clerk at Hickory Farms. She loved going to the casinos and playing bingo. She was a member of St. Matthew's Cathedral. The family wishes to thank the loving staff at St. Paul's for their wonderful care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami Street, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit one hour prior to the services at the church. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, is assisting the family. Contributions in memory of Josephine J.
