ROLLING PRAIRIE - Mary Ann Turczynski, 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born April 10, 1933 in Terre Coupee, Indiana to the late Anthony & Sophie (Marshall) Grzeszczyk. On August 1, 1959 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Mary married Eugene “Turak” Turczynski; he preceded her in death on February 22, 2009. Mary was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Mejer; and a brother, Francis Grzeszczyk. Survivors of Mary include her children, Ann Marie (John) Mejer of Rolling Prairie, Eugene (Elaine) Turczynski of South Bend, and Mark Turczynski of Chicago; grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Aaron, and Danielle; brothers, Paul, Walter (Ruth), and Richard (Gloria) Grzeszczyk; and sister-in-law, Roberta Grzeszczyk. Mary was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Rosary Society. She enjoyed bird watching, playing cards, and dice games. A Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 am (Eastern Time) on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, with a gathering 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
