Mohamed Jimel Jojo Sr., 89 of Mishawaka, died at 8:35 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ahmed M. and Elsie Aossie Jojo, his brother Allie Jojo Sr., two sisters, Hamedy Jojo and Helen A. Simon, his daughter Karen D. Jojo and his grandson Troy M. He is survived by his second wife Carol Griggs (divorced), his two sons, Mohamed J. Jojo Jr., Larry A. Jojo(Leann), his daughters, Theresa C. Jojo (George Holvoet), Helen K. Jojo, Mudd K. Jojo and Amy L. Jojo; his grandchildren; Ali, Aliya, Mohamed (Mohamed Jr.), Layla (Larry), Kristen, Trevor (Karen), Jarod, Anna (Theresa), Karsin, McKenzie (Helen), Gage (Mudd), Jonah (Amy), his great-grandchildren; Greysen, Ella, Andre, Maddox, Kaydence and Tiberius and best friend, his dog, Lily. Born on September 30, 1932, Mohamed graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1952 and served in the Army of the United States from January 1953 to January 1961. He served as a member of Company B of the 881st Engineer Aviation Battalion July 1953 to June 1954 in Korea. Mohamed worked at Schumacher and Sons in Mishawaka in the billing department for 18 years and later worked as a foundry laborer and retired from K & F Printing in Granger, IN. Mohamed enjoyed going out to eat with his family, watching movies and bargain hunting. Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel assisted the family.
