SOUTH BEND - Victor J. Gyorkos, 69, of Greenock Drive, died at 12:15 a.m. Saturday in his residence after an illness. Mr. Gyorkos retired in 1989 from Industrial Insulator Heat Frost and Asbestos Worker's Union, Local 75. He was born Sept. 25, 1926, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On April 23, 1949, in South Bend, he married Lillian E. Nagy. She survives with a daughter, Linda Kidder of South Bend; a son, Ronald V. of Chicago; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sisters, Gloria Siderits and Arlene Andert, both of South Bend, and Elsie Santarossa of Indianapolis. He was a World War II Army veteran. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Zahoran Funeral Hone. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
