Mary Ann Kiska, 73, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006, in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. She was born on December 3, 1932, to the late Louis and Dorothy (Kaminski) Kiska in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Her mother died when she was one year old, so she was raised by her grandparents, Andrew and Anna (Wroblewski) Kiszka, whom she dearly loved. Ms. Kiska retired on January 1, 1998, from the St. Joseph County Treasurer's Office after 12 years of employment. Prior to that she worked at The Associates for 25 years and then at Rink Printing Company. She is survived by her two sisters, Dorothy (Al) DeRuyck of Colchester, VT, Larraine (Ron) Cress of Brighton, MI; five nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was a member of St. Hedwig Parish and M.R. Falcon's Club. She was very active in numerous card clubs, and was an avid Notre Dame sports fan. Mary Ann graduated from Central High School in 1951. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2006, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church, with Rev. Leonard Chrobot officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
