Inscription: There’s a problem with Karol's dates as inscribed on his gravestone.

His IN death certificate states that he died Mar 2, 1921. He couldn’t have died in 1917 because he is listed in the 1920 census of South Bend. Joseph Stachowski, (his son-in-law, with whom he lived) provided the non-medical information and said Karol was, 77, and had been born in Poland in 1844. I realize that death certificates aren’t considered a primary source for birth information, however, Karol’s 1900-1920 census records are consistent with those statistics, rather than the considerably earlier year of birth inscribed on his gravestone.
