MISHAWAKA - Patricia L. Gnoth , 56, of Blue Jay Lane, died at 4:58 a.m.
Wednesday in St. Joseph Community Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Gnoth was born July 10, 1939, in South Bend. In 1978, in South Bend, as Patricia Smith, she married Richard L. Gnoth . He died in 1989. She is survived by two daughters, Louann Raszipovits of Mishawaka and Irene Robison of Dundee, Ore.; two stepdaughters, Mary Ellen Garrill of South Bend and Rose Marie Johns of Granger; three stepsons, Richard Jr. of Mishawaka and David and Robert, both of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Ellen Melser of Mishawaka, Roine Dickerson of Elkhart, and Iris Underwood, Vera Weldon and Sue Brantly, all of Houston; and two brothers, Frank Smith of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Jess Stevens of Houston. A daughter, Frances Ellen Jackson, died March 17, 1990. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 350 Auxiliary and Christ Child Society of St. Matthew Cathedral, South Bend. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Oct. 12, 1995.
