Sherry Jean Lesniak, 65, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Sherry was born on August 9, 1957 in South Bend to the late Richard and Beverly (Dolph) Kiser. Sherry graduated from Penn High School. She married Joseph J. Lesniak on August 18, 2001, in South Bend. She worked in multiple nursing homes and also worked at Martins in the deli area. She enjoyed working with the elderly and serving people while working at Martins. She was always a mother at heart and enjoyed helping her family. Sherry had a strong love for her parents. In her free time, she loved making homemade blankets for her family and friends. Along with her husband, Sherry is also survived by her daughters, Adrienne Gregory of Edwardsburg, Brandi Lesniak of Niles, MI, and Joyce (Kris) Webster of Niles; sons, David Gregory of South Bend and Joseph (Lisa) Gregory of Niles; grandchildren, Dom, Alic, Austin, and Tyler Gregory, Mariah and Savannah Lesniak, Terry, Patrick, and Kiley Lowery, Kris and Luke Webster, and Keagan Russle; nine great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Baugh of FL; brother, Richard Kiser; and brother-in-law, John Wilson. Along with her parents, Sherry is also preceded in death by her sister, Gail Wilson. Per Sherry’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at VFW Post 2284, 69946 M62, Edwardsburg, MI 49112. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Sherry may be made to Meals on Wheels, 121 W. Garst St., South Bend, IN 46601.
