Sandra Carol Baginski Wykoff was born October 13, 1942, in Chicago, IL. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 30, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Sandy graduated from New Carlisle HS, received her BS from Bethel College in 1964, and her MA from St. Mary’s College in 1969. She taught for 6 years in the South Bend Community Schools and for 20+ years in the New Prairie Unified School Corporation. She was a long-time member of the New Carlisle Wesleyan Church where she played the piano with the worship team and ministered to children in “Kids Club.” Sandy loved God, her family, her family’s farm life, her students as well as gardening and caring for her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley E. Baginski and Olga S.Cinkues Baginski. She is survived by her sister, Joyce (Willy) Veldman, brother Stanley Chip Baginski, daughter Danielle (Gordon) Jorgenson, son Jason (Gretchan) Wykoff, and son Steven Wykoff. She is survived by 7 grandchildren; Becca (Brandon) Zehrung, Hayden Jorgenson, Thomas Wykoff, Annaka Jorgenson, Nolan Jorgenson, Holly Wykoff, Joseph Wykoff as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org).
