Paul M. Swartz Sr., 68 years old, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born on September 12, 1954 in South Bend to the late Harry and Harriette (Kwasniewski) Swartz. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Joanne Grittani. Paul and Debbie (Staszewski) Swartz were united in marriage on November 8, 1975 in South Bend. Paul is survived by his loving wife Debbie, as well as five siblings, Betty (Bill) Gray, Jerry (Edna) Swartz, Lorraine (Devon) Paczkowski, Vicky (David) Russo, and Sharon (Tom) Williams; two children, Paul (Jill) Swartz Jr. and Nicole (Matt) Grounds; and four grandchildren, Nicholas and Taylor Swartz, and Brody and Kade Grounds. Paul worked for many years as a supervisor at Lock Joint Tube, and went on to work at INSERV, Inc. as a site director. When he wasn’t working, Paul enjoyed the outdoors. He spent his time golfing and fishing, and loved his yearly vacations to Florida with Debbie. Paul was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be dearly missed by friends and family. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635.
