The funeral for Harold Russell Ort, 57 of 1945 Oak Forest Road, Buchanan, who died Wednesday will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service.
Mr. Ort retired in 1984 from the Buchanan Post Office. He formerly owned the Ort Gulf Service Station in Niles. Survivors include: his wife, the former Joan Lee Samson (married 6 Nov 1965); one son, John of Buchanan; one daughter, Sharon Huss of Galien; his mother, Geneiveve Steere of Niles; two brothers--Jack of Niles and Louis of South Bend, IN; two sisters--Treva Vollman and Melvina Thompson, both of Niles; and four grandchildren.
