INDEX

[N9901] Casey was the original "Dirty Harry" and that's a compliment.

He retired from the department on Dec 1, 1939 after 23 years of service. He was of an older generation of Police Officers based in the tradition that the "Beat Officer" must be the "Head Man" on his street. Casey took this tradition very seriously in a day when that ment being quite a man.

But with all his willingness to pick up the gauntlet and fight the fight, the three hundred pound plus Casey had a tender and gentle heart to match his size.
In the tradition of officer's "Big Bill Hosinski and Frank Piechorowski ", Casey was a giant of his time in body and soul.
