Charles Szalay, a resident of Livonia, passed from this life on February 28, 2023 at the age of 97. He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia, and the loving father of Rose (Kevin) Swank, Mary (Matthew) Rowe and Pete Szalay. Charles was the cherished grandfather of Emma, Clara, Lydia, Julia, Thomas and Sophia. He will be resting at L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 8809 Wayne Rd. (at Joy Rd) Friday, March 3, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at TBD.
Charles will lie instate at10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard (at Plymouth) Livonia, MI, until time of his mass at 10:30 a.m.

He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI.
