NEDRA A. STONE Oct. 20, 1943 - March 16, 2005 Thursday, March 17, 2005 GOSHEN -- Nedra A. Stone, 61, of 58694 C.R. 17, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday (March 16, 2005) at home. She was born Oct. 20, 1943, in Goshen, to Harold and Opal (Smeltzer) Popke. On July 8, 1961, in Dunlap, she married Dale E. Stone. He survives, along with a son, Scott A. Stone of Elkhart; a daughter, Kelly Stone of Schaumburg, Ill.; five grandchildren; a brother, Harold C. Popke Jr of Elkhart; and two sisters, Hettie (Tom) Lehman of Greenville, S.C., and Sue Ann (Mike) McKinsey of Indianapolis. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home & Crematory, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, and for one hour before the 11 a.m. Saturday services at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 3300 Benham Ave., Elkhart. The Rev. Mark Kloess will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Mrs. Stone graduated in 1961 from Concord High School and graduated with honors from Indiana University South Bend with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Mrs. Stone retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2003, having worked for 27 years at post offices in Bristol and Goshen. emorials may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or Hospice of Elkhart County
