Granger - Lauren Caitlin Rectanus, 36, of Granger passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Lauren was born October 7, 1985, in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Rick and Leslie (Johnson) Rectanus. Lauren will always be remembered for her kind heart, intelligent mind, and unwavering loyalty towards her family and friends. Her compassion for animals, empathy towards others, and love of interior decorating was a driving force in her life. Although she lost her battle with mental illness, it does not define who she was as a person. Lauren's passion, strength, creative spirit, and love will live on through those closest to her. Lauren is survived by her parents Rick and Leslie, and her siblings Teddy Rectanus, Cara (Daniel) Matchett, Daniel (Katie) Rectanus, and Meganne Rectanus. A visitation will be held by Lauren's family on Saturday, October 23 from 9:30 am - 11:15 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Granger. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am. The private burial will take place in Stow, Ohio where she will be laid to rest with her beloved grandparents, Jack and Marilyn Johnson.
