SOUTH BEND - Clara Jaworski, 97, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012, with her family at her bedside at Emeritus of Arborwood Extended Care in Granger, IN. Clara was born on October 16, 1914 in Chicago, IL to the late Stephen and Eva (Csontos) Kish. As the former Clara Kish she married Chester J. Jaworski on October 9, 1937 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Ft. Wayne, IN. Clara and Chester were married for 71 years. Chester passed away on April 24, 2009. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (John) Reed of South Bend; two grandsons, Jeffrey Reed of Bridgman, MI and his finance` Sherri Wheeler, along with her two children, Brooke (Grant) Diel of Mishawaka and Nick Wheeler of Grand Rapids, MI, and Ron (Linda) Reed and great grand-daughter Kyra of Fishers, IN; three sisters-in-law, Lula Kish of North Port, FL, Lucille Kish & Joann Jaworski both of South Bend, IN; and brother-in-law, Bernard Jaworski of Royal Palm Beach, FL. Three sisters, Eva Stockberger, Josephine Perri, and Elizabeth Brown, and three brothers, Steven, Erwin and Charles Kish preceded Clara in death. Clara attended Elkhart High School. Clara retired from Uniroyal Corporation after twenty years of service. Chester and Clara enjoyed camping; they were former charter members of the Indiana Campers Association and the Coast-to-Coast Campers Association. Clara was a parishioner of the Little Flower Catholic Church. Clara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family, whom she cherished most of all. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 2-6 pm at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 6th at 10:00 am with Monsignor Bruce Piechocki officiating, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 4220 Edison Lakes Pkwy., Ste. 210, Mishawaka, IN 46545-1440.
