Obituary for Catherine Murphy (Adamczak)
Catherine Murphy of Warminster, PA passed away on Saturday, January 13th. She was 91 years old. She was the loving wife of William R. Murphy who passed away May 20, 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Wendowska) Adamczak. She was the loving mother of Dennis Murphy (Karen) of Warminster, PA and Michael Murphy (Darlene) of Lincoln University, PA; Grandmother of Douglas; and sister of Joan Baniki of Louisville, Ky. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Catherine was preceded in
death by her brother Stanley Adamczak and sister Hilda Davenport. Catherine had worked as a telephone operator in South Bend after World War II. She met her future husband, William Murphy, while assisting him with a long distance call. After they were married they lived in Honolulu, Hawaii for several years where she appeared on a local TV cooking show with Adam West. Catherine’s favorite pastime was knitting. Relatives and friends will be received after 10:00 am on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warmisnter, until the time of her memorial servcive at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at promptly at
1:30 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Avenue, Newtown, PA 18940.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abington Jefferson Health Hospice, 2510 Maryland Road, Suite 250, Willow Grove, PA
