Frances T. Cukrowicz

Services for Frances T. Cukrowicz, 97, of 522 S.35th St. who died at 3 p.m. Sunday in her home, will be at l0 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Mrs. Cukrowicz was born July 16, 1890, in Poznan, Poland, and lived in South Bend most of her life. On April 19, 1910, in South Bend, as Frances Szymczak, she married Leonard G. Cukrowicz. He died May 6, 1968. She is survived by two daughters, Audrey A. Alexis and Evelyn A. Superczynski, both of South Bend; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters. A son, John, died in 1986. Mrs. Cukrowicz was a member of the Rosary Society and Legion of Mary, both of the church, and Mary's Month Club. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Tuesday, June 28, 1988.
