Lorraine M. Batton, age 68, of South Bend, passed away Saturday morning at West Bend Nursing Facility in South Bend. Lorraine worked as a custodian for the South Bend Community School Corporation for 26 years. Lorraine was born September 21, 1953 in New Carlisle, to the late Everett G. Batton and Alice (Strzelecki) Crick and has lived in this area all of her life. She is survived by three nieces and nephews including Paul R. (Jessica Christmas) Batton of Mishawaka, IN, and a brother, Paul Batton of South Bend. One brother, Donny Batton preceded in death. A family gathering will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Palmer Funeral Home - River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Lorraine was a member of St. Casmir Catholic Church. Memorial contributions in memory of Lorraine M. Batton may be made to Riverbend Cancer Services, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615.
