SOUTH BEND - Rosemary T. Torok, 65, residing in South Bend, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, in her home. She was born in South Bend, IN, on April 19, 1951, to the late Albert E. & Elizabeth E. “Liz” (Guseilla), and had remained a lifelong resident on our community. Rosemary graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University of South Bend, and her master's from Ball State University. For 40 years, Rosemary dedicated her life to teaching special education in the South Bend Community School Corp. From 1973-2003 she served as the Transition Coordinator for Special Education, and from 2003 until her retirement in 2013 she served as Special Education Cross-Categorical Teacher. Most of her teaching career was spent at John Adams High School. She was a member of St. Matthew's Cathedral. Rosemary is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Patty & Charlie Davis of Oak Grove, MO; her brother and sister-in-law, Albert “Jr” & Irene Torok of Carmel, IN; along with a niece, Stephanie (David) Horne; three nephews, Erich Torok, Kyle Torok and Adam (Dayna) Davis; and two great-nephews, Cameron Davis & James Horne. Rosemary was preceded in death by her father, Albert in 2010, and her mother, Elizabeth in 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 30th, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Plymouth. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
