Dennis M.A. Shaw, Sr., 76 years old, passed away at 2:28 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Dennis was born on July 6, 1946 in South Bend to the late Loyal and Alice (Zmudinski) Shaw. He has lived in South Bend most of his life. On February 12, 2016 in Oklahoma, Dennis and Rose Emberlin were united in marriage. Along with Rose, his loving wife, Dennis is survived by his four children, Dennis (Jasmyn) Shaw, Jr. of South Bend, Keli (Augustine) Aguilar of Elk City, OK, Tara (Steven) Huffer of Burns Flat, OK, and Lani Kuykendoll of Mishawaka; thirteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Dennis is also survived by his sister, Joanie Barrows of Ohio; and two longtime friends, Don Wilson and Bonifacio Sandoval. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Bressler, and his brother, Robert “Bob” Shaw. A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at a future date, to be determined and announced. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting.
